  • Delay class torpers?

I have a set of EBVE gunners that are going to be my ss torpers for rm.  They are lvl43 and at 44 i may class to torp.

Question is: as gunners i have 25 rel _24torp.   As torpers they will change to 20rel_27torp.

What lvl if at all should i delay till for those of you that have seen the differance. 

for extra info im not using them till ss4.

You don't delay the classing because reload has NO effect on torpedoes.  That's what the torpedo stat is for.

aaw doesnt do anything for aa gunners you use a rel and acc stat, why would torps be any different for reload.

That doesn't make any sense.  AAW is not activated.  I believe it was also meant for the automated guns and not the actual guns you fire - those are handled by reload and accuracy stats.
Torpedo stat works and it's for the reload time of that weapon.  As I like to ask, if reload helped, what would the torpedo stat do?

Anyway, it's up to you if you want to believe me or not but it's one thing I'm quite sure of.

Acc, Reload stats = affects Surface guns

Torpedo stat = affects reload speed on Torpedo

It has a relatively low cap rate, around 1M TA (search for the max TA of torps), so you can delay class the torper. Delay to ss5 level? Heh.

Oh and imho, torpers doesnt need to be elite or boosted.. just 109vets and max experts is fine.

Yes you could delay class it in order to take advantage of repair and restore stats but in his case, he likely has regular torpers and is asking if he should  "save" reload.  Since reload doesn't matter and he isn't trying to make soft torpers, the best thing to do would be to class on time then trim the torpers when capped in order to redistribute the saved weight to other sailors.

Yeah, you should delay class. As we know bb6/bb5 need a pair of AA gunner or HH gunner.

Rm AA gun require gun only and torpper can use gun, torp, dc, HH now

It's useless to delay them if your sole purpose is to play on a sub only.
