  • How to class IJN AA gunners

    07. 11. 2011 12:54

MazdaManiac
Hi, I have made a IJN bb crew,

6 eng
3 rep
2 aa
1 scout
2 gunner
1 Bo

My "aa" gunners, currently armament class are almost lvl 20 where I can first class them as AA sailors. This increases AA but reduces their reload.... should I wait to class them so their reload is good or is that nor right?

Class Yammy level or later, I got impatient and classed at 75 but was close enough. RLD is inifinitly more important than AAW (which is broken, disabled, whatever it is).

On a side note, your 1 crew heavy (not bad, can always sell the extra one).

Am I the only one who thinks the Forum Moderators should be more active, that is if they still have the power to sticky any valuable posts from the old forum?

To answer your question, class them after lvl 80 and they'll get good rld speed and acc after lvl 105ish. :)

The superior sailor growth of the Chief DP gives in the end the same true ability per level about than an armory sailor, that has superior ability growth but less sailor growth.

So as soon as you get chief DP at level 62, you can class.

The trade off is that they will grow heavier for the same ability, and you NEED to BVE them in order to keep up with the armory sailors way.

Seeing as IJN BBs T slots suck till yammy, its why people often choose the 2nd way. They get lighter DP gunners with the same true ability.

For reference I classed mine at 85.

If you want the perfect AA gunners you have to class them around lvl 100 if I'm not mistaken. They hit the reload cap so darn late. Classing them before 80+ is a big mistake.

Mine were classed @ 97 and even without really good stats (9/10) they capped a level or 2 later. It may seem like a huge task but keep in mind that Arms sailors gain exp at a higher rate then classed gunners.

@Eufonioum

I'm around, just very busy at the moment.

I'll see what I can do about guides as soon as I get some time.

The possibilty to pump more vets on lvl 62 allows people that like to overvets to hut the cap sooner I think. But so long as they are fully BVE, true ability growth remains the same.

I believe NF considers gunners Arms sailors (they recieve the additional xp same as the BO does), so I do not think there is any difference in xp gain. Neut, unspecialized, BO, Radio and Arms sailors all recieve bonus xp over supports/pilots. Neut and unspecialized recieving the highest amount.
