It really boils down to gameplay style.
If you like hanging back, kiting your opponents, and scoring hard hits, I recommend the Norcar.
The Sodak is more for fast-paced hit-n-runs where you run in for a quick hit while the enemy is distracted and get out of range before he can hit you.
I've played both, but I prefer the Sodak at higher levels because it's a lot faster. I run it with 2 front guns and I rush deep into enemy range. I find it easier to get kills up close where you know the proper gun angle and your enemy is struggling to find his (since you're going 49ish knots).
At-level, both ships will be worse than expected, but when you get good with them, both can be just as dangerous and fun
Some differences to note between sodak and norcar:
Sodak: Greater speed, moderate power, 40 degree max shot (lower=better for rushing), bad spread at-level
Norcar: slower, but hits rather hard, 45 degree max shot (higher=better for kiting), slightly worse spread at-level
