This being said... china still needs right aircraft for it and proper defense systems since nowdays a handfull of LRMs can sink any ship with underdeveloped point defenses.

It's a big project but kinda voulnerable and any attempt (succesful or not) of sabotaging it could spark a big political scandal and give china a reason to start a war and there are not a whole lot of countries that would benefit from sinking it.

basically if there is a powderkeg in China then it's Carrier shaped.
