I went for elite accuracy gunners, the spread is still terrible.
But, if my growth projections are correct, RM gets such a huge bonus to reload that boosted elite accuracy gunners will reach the reload cap around lvl90 even if they have no experts or vets. With 100 vets, boost and full experts its somewhere around 65-70. Which is incredibly early considering its an accuracy sailor.
Boosted, with 100 vets and full experts they hit the accuracy cap between 55-60.
Considering my example Accuracy sailor hits reload cap at 70 and accuracy cap at 60, I would assume a Reload sailor would hit the reload cap around 60 and the accuracy cap around 70. Assuming you boost, vet and expert. Even if that assumption is slightly off, it's still a good bet youre safe either way, choose reload or accuracy based on whichever cap you want to reach first. *Cough*Terrible spread, choose accuracy*Cough*
Again, I similarly went for the same support as above. 4 Repair/6 Engineers/1 Scout
No AA because from what I read from the components section they don't really have any particularly good AA. Their fastest firing 2x is 2.56 seconds which takes a huge 67 space, after that theyre roughly 4-6s reload times.
As for my supports, when I calculated the repair cap for my UK Crew, I settled on 3 Reps/7 Engis, they were all experted elites with some vets here and there. But UK Crewmen all get a +2 to repair for being UK, while RM and UK Repairers are the same in all other respects, the UK repairer still starts with an extra +2 for being UK and...
Actually, long story short. RM arent quite as good as UK at repairs, so I went for 4 instead of 3.
If you do use AA, class them like normal gunners. RM doesn't have dedicated AA gunners or an AA branch. Refer to the Game Info at the top for the Sailor Tree to see how they level and the Components to see what viable AA guns there are (Or in RMs case, there arent).
