  • Got my Kaiser. Small recap and a couple questions.

Finally, after playing this game for many years I completed the requirements for the Kaiser crew. All with 200 or more vets and 11/11. This is the only crew I have. I thought I could drop in a post to motivate those who are grinding KM because everything I read in this forum drags you down.

I still suck with Kaiser but I have to say I find it really powerful. Now that I dont have to take risks to get good XP, I feel it never made so much sense to just AA until its clear and OH in for a few salvos and OH out to AA again. It also feels really good to know that if you are patient and just wait, all ships in this game have to get in your range in order to attack you. Vulnerability to 2x enemies rushing is still there but I drove a H44 for 15 levels, so it is something I'm prepared for.

Learn your KM 40's. These will save your butt so many times I can't even explain it.

120 scout is a whole new level of scouting posibilities. It's so fast, and lasts so long that keeping enemies in sight is way easier. Good scouting and good AA will make you a real pain in the ass for the enemy team.

I went for 1 BO, 2 Gunners, 2 AA Gunners, 5 Engineers, 3 Repairs, 1 Scout. I do not regret this decision. Running out of OH = getting sunk.

Bismarck with this crew is just so much fun its hard to explain.

AD with this crew is not even fair for your opponents.

H44 in WaW is just a machine gun with crazy damage potential. Driving Kaiser now I have to admit I miss the H44 spread, it was so good!

H39 I dont have it anymore but I bet is a real strong ship with my crew.

With the event drops I got a ship tree reset. Was thinking of switching to O/Pro line because turret disposition is more in line with Kaiser and so I could get better practice out of those ships. Suggestions?

I find it really sad that Kaiser has 2-1 turret disposition. Considering you almost always fire while sailing away I found that I prefer more turrets in my tail. Could someone explain me what is the strength of the double triple turrets in the nose?

Thanks to all for reading, Happy Xmas!

Make sure to ask me whatever you want about KM and I will help if I can.

Congratz on ur long waited Kaiser...

Nah, O2 more like 'false' rush ship, it has low angle(30), fast speed, but not the size, I believe it has the biggest size among BB3(showed by HP).

Seeing ur play style practicing in O2, it will make u play Kaiser more agressive...

I too played since 08-09, retired in 2010 and play again july 2012. But I feel that longer OH time doesn't quite help me much in Bizzy with 5 engy+12. I use different 'way' to dodge salvo or chassing subs.

And yes I have 2 BB BOs, so I played simultanously between O2 and Bizzy.

Opro might be large but it's also very thin and that's what counts when rushing.

Kaiser is not the most interesting ship to play for the following reason

Crap spread at line fighting and crap spread when pushing/running

Range cover from Nebby to Kaiser

You will never do 50k+ consistently  per hit because of the 2 reasons above

Bounced by its own AW KM ships....That gives you an idea how easy it can get bounced. In fact, BB that get into  range can bounce kaiser. That is not talking about UK. So you have to put much more effort checking who's armoured and who's not.

Otherwise, it's an "okay" ship with AA.

By the time you get to Kaiser you should know the ins and outs of the KM40s as well as how make the most out of minimal range advantages.

To your gun placement question... I'm pretty sure the answer is the question itself. In game it wouldn't make any sense to have a ship be able to do most of its damage while running away from the battle. More guns at the front basically means more offense.

Yeah I love the Kaiser in HA because it finishes off crippled ships beautifully and the AA is ghastly when you are good and can blind the enemy instead of spamming.  In this sense, it is a fun "team play" ship... If you dont have a "team" in GB, then you're a pinata (jajajaja) every time, regardless of whether you have 5x Hero sailor engies

Richard pointed out the spread sucks. True. You can tweak the gunners to make the spread slightly better, but not great.
