I think most of the community is puzzled as well.  We all see the same stats (some of them actually worse) as the regular line ship and wonder what was going on in the test server.

It appears to be a Hood that will hold more ammo and a higher lvl crew so you can play it longer.

But, I'm one of the great unwashed and dont have the "true answers".   Go seek the wizards of know. 

Intended gunset is lvl 82 15"L, this ship and the original Hood is being worked on.

In short, these ship are not finished.

If I'm not mistaken, the triple 16" Mark I L guns have a little bit more range than the triples Mark II L.

The range of 16" Mark 1L is the same as 14"x4L

They should be much powerful than normal bb4. . i can't even put under range other bb4 they can hit me first and i can't hit them with the 2x 15" mark III guns and even try to my friend 1 v 1 on VANGUARD.. he outranges me anad that's that.

I'm Hood fan, and I know this ship very well. I also have EBB Hood, and I can say something about gun setup (same as for normal Hood). 

Guns:
2xMark III 15"
3xMark I 16"
4xMark III 14"

Setups:
*Standard - 4 x 2xMark III L - Best range, angle and reload, poor firepower (My ship is running 45 knt with them)
* Popular - 4 x 3xMark I L (Mark 1, not 2) - slightly less range, 40*, great firepower (My ebb Hood - 44 knt with light crew, 42 with full crew)
*  Heavy - 4 x 4xMark III L (quad) - same range as Tripple Mark III, 40*, OUTSTANDING firepower, but they're heavy. (My e-Hood - 42 knt)
* HMS Arrogance configuration (Invented by me) - mix of quads and tripples.  
3xMark I L, 4xMark III L (front), 4xMark III L, 3xMark I L (back). This guns have THE SAME RANGE & ANGLE, slightly different reload time, but it's like popular setup + 2 more shells = +50 k dmg per salvo. (44 knt with light crew, 42 with full)

EDIT: I just find out one more setup.
* Double KGV config. - 4xMark III L + 2xMark III L (14" - "half of quad gun") front, same at back. 12 shells 14" per salvo, but it's lighter than "Popular" setup. (For me - 44knt with full crew)



You have to make a choice. Still, unfortunately - too BIG ship with too SHORT range. Pretty, but hard to play. 



Note:
- Tripple Mark II guns sucks. They have noticeably shorter range than M I.


I hope they'll fix Hood, (s)he is unsarisfactorily strong for her size. Mostly because of poor range. Vanny' and L1' guns would be fine. AND should have FCS II. Now I should say few words to EBB balance team....  Hood was going to be better!  YOU ^*%*%$&#%@@$!^@#^@ !

Then they should make new Event Guns for Hood. With better range. 

All that SDE does is repainting ships and callin this "introduction of a new EBB". NFNA team alone could take some fan-made sprites and introduce any new ship.  :F

Yeah. "Accuracy buff"... Sorry Nibby, but it's BULLSHIT. They can shove this "accuracy buff" up their asses. 
I say it again: EBB Hood needs better range. She's just too big for range she has. No way to do serious damage and don't be "oneshooted". 

you can't "make new event guns". New gunsets are normally not allowed by SDE and if they would be it would be hell of work. SDE made unnecessary difficult code for guns so its really hard work to balance a gunset in range, dmg, AP and spread.

Ktosiek thanks for the advice on the setup. I'll try some of those configurations. Niborger I read the link you posted. I'm upset they won't be doing much to fix the new EBB Hood besides changing the 15" guns spread.

I'd be nice if they gave it FCS II since the spread isn't great. or changed the 14" weight to make it usable (although I don't think it's likely they'll do that). The ship is obviously 'broken' and there's a lot of ways to fix it. I just hope I didn't waste the entire event for a piece of junk.
