  • Additional patch note for SN/MN

The purpouse of this thread is to recall the MN and SN testing are not finished. Therefore, the change in the patch note, does
not necessarily means that it will remain that way.

Some ship may be adjusted. While others are still under testing.
For now, this thread should serve you as warning.

And that\s pretty much what you should know

What ships are needed to be continued in testing for MN/SN? My guess is the P24.

SN bb5, SN bb4, SN bb3 (both of them), SN bb, spread, SN bb1, all of SN CA, all SN AA ( they are meant to be useable as uk, in short, crap like them)

MN BB5, MN bb4, MN bb3, MN bb2, all MN CA

And tons of other stuff. We're not done yet.

I like this, but are MN Cls going to be buffed up? CL Pluton for MN only has 58 R spots. DD Mogador has more R space than that by a lot

Dont expect to be spoonfed, if you read the patch notes it is contained that most of the mn stuff is being balanced, and the l'adroit is going to be better then la fantastique.

Looks like to me that the MN bb2-5 is already balanced at least after this patch tonight.

We tested on live server, the range for MN strasbourg was bb2 range.
Which is something that is need to be adress.

Richelieu blockshot, which is not intended.

Alsace still need to have the ship itself fix.

etc.

SN AA is great, punching power and range, some are 30 degree golden angle and high damage along with all bb1 to bb6 fantastic T slot.

Thousand time better than US and UK AA

And comparing to overpowered AA such as KM, should be a no.

here is an idea the sn have a 2.9inch gun called the minizini or something how about lower the reload time increase the range and make it aa only....just a thought.

Dramatically changing SN AA now when most players who worked at this are at BB5/6 is both short sighted and blinkered using the "national traits" argument.

If SN AA was as bad as you want from day 1, people would have levelled extra support in place of gunners, like they have done for US and UK.

To make two crew members on a SN BB effectively "dead weight" by nerfing the guns to UK level at this late stage would be crass and elitist of the relevant section of the balance team to say the least.

I trust that whatever BALANCE changes are made actually take into account how people have developed their crews because of the original ship and gun features presented by SDE. A reduction in some aspects of SN AA MAY be needed, but to put it down with RN and US AA just because at one time hinted it was a national trait will just cheese more people off in game.

I can just imagine this being implemented on day one then the trade section on day 2 will be :

"Want to trade 2 SN Elite Gunners, 105, BVE 140 Vets for any SN Repair or Engineers 90 +"

Imagine the next BB patch; all US reload guns loose AA ammo and only AA gunners can shoot down aircraft because they have made only the AA guns worth using even with gimped AA men. All because the US National Trait was good AA (and sight lines) so as we have now fixed the AA men, all Reload gunners will be made useless. The correct choice would be to have made the guns and crews that people already have usable, not to nerf them into obscurity, irrespective of National Traits.

I hope that a half baked patch (NOT the fault of the testing team) does not stay this way for another six months, but also that any changes in game reflect the decisions that people made with crew choice MANY months ago, as well as largely ignoring the theoretical BB vs BB play in the test environment. Lets face it, GB2 is 95% of all NF games, played by 95% of all active players. The days of great BB rooms went years ago. Especially as we know that the sight lines and ranges when playing pure BB rooms are different from those found in GB rooms (result of previous early ONF tests)
