  • Why i'm discouraged of playing CV

Personally , i don't use my CV very much because untill you get t4 fighters, your fighters are crappy scouts which
on occasion, generate some creds, and your useless against high levels.
I don't think there is a practical solution encourage CV users that are too high for interceptors yet too low for T4's.

Let the flaming begin.

no way, if you have ebve your t2 can shoot t4, and my +11base with 130~exp and only 80vet can engage t4 well if i drag.

all my fighters are BVE'd, and its too late to make them elite... I'm sure many people have the same situation.
so until then there is no option but sit back and take it.

And contrary to moronic opinions, scouting does win games.

avoid the ft to ft engagement and go against bombers.

As you said, use them as fast scouts.

Basically, FC and scout. the two most important role of a CV in my opinion.

T4 dont have a really good "vision" and therefore are slightly better than interceptor, but not that much scout wise.

By dragging and moving around, I manage to get my T4 scouts to avoid or at least survive long enough in T4 swarmed area. So I'd say a T3 fighter can more than pull it also.

If you do that, then the CV5-PCV-CV6 with you can probably concentrate on blinding the other team by going after whatever planes tries to scout your BBs.

Then again all of the above is supposing an intelligent CV5+ with you. In many case you'll be the only one shooting fighters. If thats so, do your best, concentrate first in maintaining visual for the BB line, dont try and engage totally higher tier fighters if you know they can't pull it and won't blind the enemy anyway.

But most BB players know when a CV is simply overwhelmed, and won't blame you for it. Just do your best. I know that I never tell a lower level cv they suck because they can't pass an higher level cv blockade.

50/50 truth there seen games were as CV and was able to keep enemy team well scouted from mid to south vice versa and still lose horrible since BBs are hardcore Fail and cant play for NUTs and CVs still to blame and yea if you got pilots lower then t4 they are scouts that earn minor creds t4 CV patch = super fail for all CV players under lvl100 yes my t3 ftrs can cope but barely and since they are IJN its even worse regardless of being +12 BVE and over vetted

sadly true ya.

I've won games where the cv in front kept me blind and scouted for his team all game long, but his BB failed hard and I eventually sank them slowly one by one on short glimpses.

Dont forget to say GG to that cv so he stays in the game and cover you when you get it on your team :P

I dont use T4s and I dont have any problem playing CV. The problem is people would rather cry about things then learn to get better. Just the other day there was someone complaining about T4 fighters. After the battle I whispered him offering him to show him some tricks but he would rather complain then learn.

Take a look at this picture. It was done with level 83 BVE +11 FPs using T3s on my US Essex. Yes, my team lost, but I was fighting T4 fighters from a PCV and a CV5 south pretty much all game. Even on the loss, I netted about 80k credits on the results screen. I don't drag my fighters all over the map, I do micro-manage them to pull them out of CoDs, but only enough to make them swing around for another "swarm attack".

My point is, if you learn to micro-manage your fighters, you will be able to get better results. Playing as a CV does take a lot of multi-tasking and micro-management, it also causes you to take a lot of harassment from other players, but it can have some nice rewards once you get the hang of it and find what type of CV you are best at playing.

P.S. This was done while keeping the south enemy BBs scouted at least 95% of the game, but our BBs kept running and wouldn't engage, and this lead to our south BBs falling to the enemy North/Mid over-powering them...
