South Korea has come out with an excellent idea to deter shoplifters and related thievery in grocery item retailors/distributors:

Something of this nature could reduce the added cost of shoplifting currently placed on foodstuffs and non-edible merchandise if employed widely in America. Items stored in a backroom/warehouse could be wheeled out when the shopper completes the transaction at the check-out counter.

Oh well, there goes my shelf stacking job :-(  I suppose on the bright side, it will give me more time to play navyfield.

But couldn't it be possible to rob the warehouse instead? Just wait til they open it up to grab something and then jump in, stick up the warehouse personnel while you shove as much as you want into your getaway ride. Or, just stick up the cashier for money. When people are desperate they're gonna find another way.

Actually, I have noted an increase of presence in amount of armed security personnel patrolling some food stores in America. Walking into grocery stores now is akin to walking into a bank. Breaking into the back storeroom would generate an armed response much like breaking into a vault.

I think Korea has the best approach to future shopping and providing a pleasing atmosphere.

I'd have to agree with this being an amazing approach.
