It's either you class or no class once you're at fighter/ace, there's really no delay.

It's also a question of how much money/effort you are willing to get the vets. Should you be willing to have around  120 to 160, it's best to class ace. Anything else is fighter.

But then, this application works only if you have also maxmize your crew with experts and vets.

At 90/100 vets, you basically have the same thing. It's when you start investing + 120 experts where classing might matter.

If I can ask you one more minor question when you do decide to class your AA gunners you normally delay class them (wait until 90ish to make them AA gunner because of the acc/rld penalities). My question is, do you JUST class them 2nd AA gunner or do you go all the way up to chief gunner? My instincts tel me you just keep them 2nd AA gunner since further classing hurts your acc/rld.

Keep it 2nd for less hassle, they also gave up trying to fix the AAW ability. It should be fixed for the past 2 years.
