What's a good means of recording gameplay on NF?  Post a recommendation and why if you don't mind.

I'm basically looking for something that makes medium quality videos (still relatively intelligible but not extremely high space) and that will require little to no post-recording editing in order to be able to send.  In other words, I don't want to have to convert it to anything afterwards.

Answers are appreciated.

I haven't used it personally, but I've heard a lot of people using "Fraps"

FRAPS doesn't use compression nor render, it sounds nice for lower end processor, but  suck alot of hard drive memory.

It is about 436MB consume for using 23 sec, about 1.7 GB for  90sec at 1024x768 with sounds. It isn't the solution you are looking for.

Maybe camtasia studio, they get a lot of codec, but your processor must bepowerfull enough. You got plenty of codec when you use their software, and you can download third party codec. This is your solution depending how powerfull your processor is.

Fraps works well for NF and is very easy, I have used it many times, if your worried about space just delete the video when your done uploading it or whatever you plan to do.

Dxtory is another popular software, much more options and possibilities than fraps, but much more complicted at the same time.

Fraps is something I was trying to avoid for the reason that I would have to convert it with other software in order to reduce the massive amount of space.  I'm looking for something very simple, and the quality does not have to be perfect.

Richardphat, my processor is an Intel Core i5-2410M @ 2.3Ghz on a laptop.  Is that sufficient?

Should be able to handle  mpeg compression.

I haven't tried Bandicam with NF yet but i used to use it on LoL and it worked really well. Small files and was able to send them to youtube np.

I use Xsplit for all twitch/youtube live streams as well as for local recordings.

Lots of features and addons, definitely the best low cost broadcasting/recording software on the market atm.

You can even try it for free with no time limit (You just are limited to a few scenes instead of all 10 and you can't use the stream delay.)

I have a bandicam vid of NF crash from start to finish. I just followed the cues of the oncoming event and turned on bandicam. Works great!

EDIT - This "crash" from start to finish is 2 minutes and 13 secs long. Data amount is 43.9 MB as for how much space was used to record that specific vid.
