Please don't be a great stonking idiot like me, trying to find guide links which do not exist (although I did use google to find out why that was);

Broken links are not gone: all the old forum archives are accessible from the button at the RIGHT SIDE of the Forum Index; a flash popup will appear with a list of posts.
From here, navigate to the last page and read the posts in backwards order (this works for all other NF forums as well).

These guides include a large selection of LordKelvin's excellent guides, and especially those for the lower USN ships, utilising AA tactics and the like. Just backwards.

And my apologies to others for spamming the forums with a bout of otherwise useless information :\
