  • Problem with neutral ship tree?

Been grinding out some sailors and have my future bridge operator at level 10 now. According to the neutral ship tree I should have unlocked DD-2 at level 9 but so far my sailor is level 10 and the DD-1 is still the highest-level ship I can buy. Am I misunderstanding something or is the ship tree level requirement just wrong?

Done. Thank for the sanity check, devildog. I noticed that even though I can't buy a DD-02, I can buy a DD-01 and then remodel it to a DD-02 or the DD-02 M1/2/3, which is exactly what I should be able to access according to the ship tree. So I guess I can still play around with the DD-02!

Edit: Deleted my other post about the DD FCS I not being available... it's not behaving consistently and I put the important info into the ticket anyways.

Technically you didnt help, the neutral shipline is meant to be like that, buy a DD01 and remodel..

This. Having him send a support ticket looks foolish.

I'll just go ahead and delete the ticket then. Been playing quite a bit today and past the DD-02 anyways.

Thanks for the input, all.

the Neutral DD01-M1 is my favorite destroyer. But you have to expend an entire crew through Level 24 to get the good guns. I have a set (4) of neutral sailors at L40 now specifically for my Neutral ship lines.

WIth the DD01-M1, you can load up the L24 6" guns and enough ammo to pull down 10K++ in a blitz.. Those 6" guns have range better than most CLs and some CAs.

Also the FF-Y is my favorite ASW ship, with four racks of depth charges, mount up the dual 3" 70MM guns, put a sonarman on board and go hunting. Fast and maneuverable.

The FF-X is the bulldog of FFs and packs a pair of nice torp launchers and a trio of gun settings on the rear to let you exploit the "shoot and run" tactic.

FF WARS RULE!

PS: they're just baby battleships anyway.

Why put a sonarman on?
