So you have not been sharing passwords but he knew your password. If I was you I would change all your passwords from "password" and don't have your pin as 1 2 3 4 5.

If you don't ever give out your password this wont happen. It is next to impossible to guess a password for an account. It is very sad that hacking goes on but you must have allowed someone somewhere access to your account, this has led to your account being hacked and therefore it is not SDEs fault (for once) and why should they spend time and money to solve something you, somewhere down thhe line, brought on yourself.

Again I am very sorry this happened but if nobody knew your password it wouldn't have happened.

You shared your first password. Even if a long time ago, the rules state if you share a password they will not recover anything lost. Don't say you don't agree to this, every time you played the game you hit the "Agree" button, you probably never read most of that anyway.

If they see a different IP logging into your account, more than the time of the stuff being stolen, its quite obvious a password has been shared. Its a shame some people are like that but it happens every day.

The 2nd password is just like a credit/debit pin number... There is only 10,000 different combinations. A Random lucky guess is all you need. You probably had something like 1111 or 9999 or 1234.

I know at least 1/3 of the people playing this game probably use one of the 3 I've listed or any other 4 of the same digit combinations

Next time, just like in any game. Change your passwords frequently. Don't share passwords.

Think about it, would you share your Social Security Number or you Credit Card Pin?

NavyField logs show all (including logon IP addresses).

NavyField policy about account sharing is really clear: as soon as somebody else than you log in your account (more than one personn in case of an hack) then you lose all your rights to be helped.

Actually it pretty much states you have no rights to be helped to start with.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Password, and you will
be responsible for all uses of your Password, whether or not authorized by you.
Also, note that the security of your account is your responsibility. SD EnterNet is not
responsible in the event that your account is "hacked," or if your account or
computer is damaged by a virus, or for any other issues with your computer or your
account which may occur in conjunction with your use of Navy Field. If you think that
your account has been compromised, please contact Navy Field Technical Support,
either through our Team N.F or by sending email to SD EnterNet Technical Support,
and SD EnterNet will make an effort to assist you in recovering the security of your
account.
This includes helping to reset passwords, helping with billing issues, and offering
basic suggestions for improving your account security. If you report your account
stolen, hacked, or in any other way compromised, SD EnterNet will suspend the
account while we fully investigate the matter. This is to protect the ships, sailors,
items, etc., that are part of the account. Following this investigation, SD EnterNet will
determine the appropriate course of action.

I love the bit that says if we put a virus into Navyfield and your computer is damaged then it is not our fault.

This thread will just end in an argument that will go nowhere. Some people will say don't share the password, others will say he didn't... and it will never end.

If you have a problem that needs to be addressed, please send a Support Ticket. If you feel that the answer doesn't correspond to your problem, send another Support Ticket and keep communicating.
