  • reduce prem from 5min in blitz

To get anything from using prem i have to go into gb2 games so i can get decent 6k exp for my lvl 30ish crew. 

Blitz maps are smaller, ships die faster and games are just faster.  It only makes since to lower prem time from 5 min to somthing around 3-4min. 

Often on this kasier server there will only be 20 people in a blitz, thats 10v10.
I play alot of paintball and 10v10 can be over in seconds. 

Asking for 3-4 min in Blitz shouldn't be a unreasonable request.
I already have to deal with enough running a km bissy vs L2's every game bouncing my shells.

change the map to a larger one, hobbit map shouldn't be in blitz

and use AP on L2 that run 35knts (the one that has 2 front guns)

yeah .... the hobbit map is much more suitable for GB2 use instead ....

but i also agree with the OP point ... getting real tired of blitz games that end like 10-30 secs before 5 min mark

Well at 10-30 seconds before the premium timer - YOU ARE GETTING PREMIUM. For years, premium has
kicked in around 4:15-4:20. I always say 4:30 just to be safe.

Just change the map to non hobbit as mentioned.
But what does it say about the puke poor standard of play if a game can't last 5mins now.

its not the puke-poor play ... thats been a given in blitz for years ... .. .. its the new HOBBIT MAP ...

there is simply not enough room to avoid being swarmed for 5 minutes .. nowhere to run ..



and that hobbled hobbit blitz baby play pen map is teaching a lot of bad habits ....

OVER RELIANCE on TORPS ...
torping is more effective than shooting when you don't got room to move around

OVER RELIANCE on HH ...
again ... more effective than shooting shells ... (omg .. i 1-shot a guam with HH .. woot)

UNDER RELIANCE on GUN SKILLS ...
hobbit offers very little room to stand off at RANGE and develop any kind of shooting skills ..

USE of AUTO OVER MANUAL AIMING ...
again .. map is simply too small.. you get swarmed almost instantly .. and have no room to back off ..
so .. with reaction time and shot placement being high priority in such enviorment .. AUTO RULES ..FTW ...
new players have neither the time nor space for the luxury of learning manual .. manual gets you killed fast
auto lets you point and spam shells .. and adjust to the charging lil ship swarm in a hobbled hobbit play pen

NO LEVELING of a SCOUT ...
on the big maps .. used to be some blitz people would level a scout pilot .... in order to find the FF runners ...
with the hobbit map .. there is no need for scouts .. since there's no place to run .. and map is easily crossed
even 'surface scouting' is suffering ... there's not even the random FF doing 'border patrol' hunting any more ...



hard as it may be to imagine .. that hobbit map is encouraging the standard puke poor play to get even worse
its teaching bad habits that messes new people up when they try to move to GB's . some will quit in frustration

Let me clarify.
By puke poor play I mean that it's what requires people to want or need to play on hobbit maps.

I still host on normal sized maps with as few as 16 players and our matches have gone 15 minutes.

nvm that IJN M3 mod 3 torps can run over the whole map. and blow due to the wall rather than distance, and thats from being shot nearly at spawn.
