  • Support Sailors on R-slots on SS

my question is, will any of the following sailors "work" if loaded on the R-slots of my SS?

Sonarman, Plainsman, Restorer, Repairer

 Edit: I realise this question has probably been answered before at legnth, so if somone could link me to it that would be great too. I dont know how to brows through the old-forum entries.

if i remember correctly only repair works on the ship (R slot and T slot) not to sure about the restore tho but sonarman and planesman does not work

The Following Sailors Work in R Slots:

Sailors, Seaman, Medic, Restores, Repairs, Gunners (But Torpers)

Thats pretty much it.

Engys, Planesmen and Sonar do not.

Confriming, If you want a useful think on that gun slot Rest is the way to go, unless you can hit 900sd with a rep and the rest of the support crew.

Your better off not leveling a restorer unless you plan doing a CV in the same nation. You can grind another one of your supports. There is no point to having 800 SD with a Rest if you repair @ 20 DP/s and OH for 10 seconds @ 30 something knots. Having 2 BOs helps too for BB, one per line since most nations have 2 BB lines (3 for UK and 4 for US)
