I think we should be allowed place BB6 CV6 in HQ.

Is there some technical reason why this is not possible?

It's such a time waster moving crews from ship to ship just because you can't place a ship with sailors there.

Unique ships cannot be stored. That's the reason.

O.K but why? What makes it so different from other ships that it cannot be stored?

Sailors are not kept on ships in HQ. If you put a ship with sailors in, sailors will automatically be placed in their own slots.

A couple of people have said this would be useful, if it can be done.

Thanks, but the thing that gets my goat, why is a BB6/CV6 so different that it cannot be stored, if there is a technical problem surely it's not that hard to solve?

All i'm talking about here is the ability to move (BB6/CV6) ship with sailors, in/out of the HQ.

The reason for this, best example if you are in HA, and need to switch between BB6 to CV6 depending on the role you need to play for your fleet, this can get very time consuming and rooms will be missed. I'm sure that needed no explanation.

Can you please elaborate on what makes them so unique they can not be stored in the HQ like other ships?

The code behind the BB6 and CV6s is much more complex than even the Premium and Pre-EBB6 Event Ships.

You would think the ship's special sailor requirements, locked guns and other hints would have made that quite obvious.

Because if you place a ship into your HQ, the game doesn't consider you have that ship anymore, thus allowing you to buy more than 1. Which could be abused in HA, especially with the main HT ships.

Try it out yourself with a BB5, try to purchase one while you have it in your harbour, then try once the ship in in your HQ.

Edit: This might be an unintended bug? If so, consider it now known.

That's part of the reason. There's a number of coding issues involved. The end result is that it essentially won't happen.
