On the sailor tree for MN gunners, at level 20 it shows that you should be able to branch into the AA Gunner tree. I never got that option at level 20 with my  sailors. Curious as to what might be going on there.

They were ninja removed.
While I am lvling my lvl Machine gunner to 90 and hoping to class it as chief, so it would be ready when AAW is fixed.
But no... they just decide to remove it without notice.

they are not AA gunners. they are machine gunners that are ment to boost the ships AAW stat. (IJN has them as well).

they are disabled at the moment as they dont work how they are ment too.

see the MN section of this site for more info and which guns are best for AA for normal gunners

just level a +12 rel gunners and class him just like you class your main gunners

Alright, thank you. I was unaware how it worked, i thought that Machine Gunners still had access to particular guns for AA. Now I know.

Its the case for KM (rapidfire gunners) IJN (DP gunners) and UK (AA gunners for the PomPoms).

USN access A version of regular guns. Meaning a boosted D gun (even less reload, even less range, less intrusive). However, due to the lack of range and massive ability nerf USN use main gunners to AA too.

MN doesn't even have NLDA versions. Gunners access all guns.

1
