Hi all. I wanted to put this down sooner, but I kept forgetting and oh @($% has it really been a month already!?
You might have seen a thread on the old forum about me advertising NavyFIELD at ConnectiCon 2011. I cleared it with the mods and GMs, and they were OK with it.
Here is my fixture I made. It is a PCL-esque cardboard ship called the "Chibi Battleship Zantetsuken". I named it this way as CTcon is a largely-anime-themed convention and most congoers would know what chibi meant.
It is not only a ship but also can be worn as a sign, similar to what this guy did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HuviN5RNb0A
These are after-convention pics of the "ship":
There you see a NavyFIELD Poster (photoshop'd for the text...NF doesn't seem to have its own posters so I just used one of the old wallpapers)
There is the front of it, with the Kiku crest featured upon all Japanese Kaigun ships. The front turret rotates from inside, so when I was walking around in this (I know I looked like a fool but it was fun) I would aim them left to right.
This is from the back, a top down shot.
As I said, it must have looked ridiculous and childish, even though I'm 19; but I did my dumbest for NavyFIELD, so to speak.
Apparently I got at least 25 people who said they'd sign up and try the game. If any of them are here, I'd like to hear from you!
I must point out, the lettering would have been nicer, but it got splashed on by some A-hole with an SUV going through a puddle, and the paint ran down a bit.
I may get back into this ship to make a gag video of some sort eventually. If that happens, I'll post it here so you can all laugh at me. Heh
