if i remember correctly, nf-guide.com (i think that is right) has a base calculator AND golden angle info for the FIRST FIVE NATIONS AA gunners.

personally, i :   take the sailor's ability score /(divided by 1.2 if the sailor is boosted, since you multiply ability by 1.2 when boosted((premium boost)), rounded down since you round up when multiplying)...=ability score without boost.

USING THE SAILOR TREE AVAILABLEl ABOVE TOP LEFT UNDER GAME INFO...look at classificatio and subtract increases for each class down to level 12 general class(subtract gains for chief, huge, heavy, 1st, 2nd, etc.)...=base score at sailor tree choice(support, gunner, etc.).

ON SAME SAILOR TREE...subtract the gain for the sailor tree class...=base class!!!

is much faster and simpler than it sounds after a couple of uses.

example:  105 SN boosted sonar ability 28...

                 28/1.2=23.33>23
                 23-2(chief)-1(1st)-1(2nd sonar)-1(support sailor)=18

******18 is CORRECT BASE ABILITY for SUPER ELITE POTENTIAL WHICH BECAME A CHIEF SONAR SN!!!******
