having played since the 'old days', i remind you of the trend to start Xmas events later and later, i. e., closer to xmas, over the years. this event usually lasts about a full month.
if i remember correctly, HK NavyField FleetMission did have xmas event last year. i believe it started around dec 18-20 and ended around mid-teens january. there should be some history on this site to bear this out.
NOTE: the xmas events the past 5-7 years have not been the monty haul events of the long past, have been more purchase oriented, but have still had some perks for all. i expect this xmas event will somehow involve INTRO of the new CHINESE NATION pending completion of the preliminary testing.
it is only December 1-2, depending on your location. do not be in such a hurry to get xmas over with. have a little patience.
frankly, i would be more worried that the HK protests result in action by mainland China which would result in massive server disruption, such as gov't. hacks to hinder HK business in order to bring HK protesters under control through financial handicap. just my oppinion.
