How hard does it hit?

-my experience is below 500 against the test server bb1s. i think it was around 250-300, not sure right now.

btw
-divetime is somewhere around 3min 20sec.

-its slower then km ss4 (28-27 for ss4 vs 25 for ss5) atleast non OH speed. OH speed well both can hit sub OH cap (40knots surfaced, 34dived) but has much more OH time because u can use 3 engis instead of 1.

-It can hold a few more torps and has 1more rear torp (4/2 vs 4/1)

I am really gonna miss the U-Flak guns. They are what really make the difference between SS3 and SS4.

If the deck gun is another useless item, where 99% of everyone just puts a support guy on, then NF HAS FAILED.

I've got two L100+ gunners with no where to go now.

Somehow I feel that the SS5 will just be a copy of the SS3 with a new paint job, and a little more air time.

SS5 is just a beefed up SS3.

Plenty of air, plenty of speed, a new tier of torpedoes, two more support slots.

Most nations' "flavour" sub is the SS5, with goofy stuff like scouts or a 12" gun or TBs. KM's flavour sub seems to have been the SS4 with its flak guns, so the SS5 is back to business as usual.

I have to agree heavily with ultradog and I think invinceblor said it best. If you dont get that then stop making new ships PERIOD it reminds me of General Motors in the 80s and 90s ruled by boardroom politics, their cars made fiscal and functional sense but had NO passion or excitement... and it lead to they're ultimate demise.

well its been out for almost a day, whats the view on the KM SS5 on the live server?

the torps reload it slow (ss4 rld 33.6 sec ss5 46.28 sec)
mabey even to slow for ss vs ss fighting ur better of whith the ss4
the torps them selfs hit harder
the oh is good whith 2 engi's no need for 3
crit dive is about the same as the ss4
as for its gun i don't use ss guns ill put a rep on those spots or leve them open
dive time is a litlle better then ss4
if ur use to use the aa guns u will miss them big time
as for being a bb killer its not the best do to its slow reload

I will miss the Flak guns, they were fun.
