So after some months not playing NF i was wondering what the progress was, and to be honesly i was disapointed in like 1 minut when starting the game.
I Downloaded a fresh install of Navyfield Installed it and on the "File checking" i already get error about a file that's corrupted.

So restarted the client as the message says, redownloaded some file FINNALY past the "File Checking" entered my login and pw, clicked login! and:

O NOES DATA FILE CORRUPTED!!.

Alright downloaded the DATA Files from the download section replaced them Restarted again, and O NOES Again

DATA FILE Corrupted!.

Really some other patch methods are needed here or a new Game Updater. this is ridiculos.

I had this exact problem with the previous version back in early August, and don't have it now.

How has this problem now affected this new version?? It's face-palm worthy.

Have to agree with Hoplita this should be SDE's nr 1 priority.
How do they expect to gain new players if those players have to do a crashcourse bugfixing just to be able to log into the game? Players that already know the game and spent time on it might be willing to try things to get everything working, but someone that just wants to try it out of curiosity will give up and forget about the game a lot faster once he runs into several issues before having played a single battle.

SDE can develop as much content as it wants, when people cannot actually enjoy that content it won't do them any good.

Hi Hoplita,
Heres a simple fix for you....
Go here,
http://www.atomicgamer.com/games/3709/navy-field/files

And download game client version 1.320

Then install and let it patch as normal (update).
Once done you should have a working version of the game.
The data errors and corruptions seem to stem from patches 1.326 and 1.327,
this version of the game client works well without errors.

I agree this should be fixed quick. I thought about inviting some friends to try it out but I doubt they'll make the effort or will be able to figure it out.

Its the truth. Thank you Nephalem. Your logically sound conclusion, to which action is imperative, will now be lost into NF forums without any effect, ever, on the game. One of the reasons I quit NF.

I've already as a programmer in C++, C# and many web formats recommended the devs go back to Patch 1.320 and reapply all the changes (Thus the problem (originating in patch 1.322 being broken on the update server) Should no longer be a factor). But I'm feeling those suggests are being ignored as being "Too much work"
