  • Harbor assualt official times?

TopSprinkles

After doing some simple math on stand by times for Tokyo I'm getting results showing that the prep time starts at 10 AM eastern (7 am pacific) which means the actual harbor assault starts at 12 pm( 9 am pacific) Which means all harbors should be adding + 2 hours to their actual start time? Can someone confirm this for me?

whine on ...

i was against changing the HA times ... BUT ... the "forum voted" ...

riiiight ... a FEW people voted ... and then NFNA/SDE/TNF (hereafter 'SDE') stripped out a bunch of the NO votes
this right here is what bothers me most .. a few voters voted .. NOT even a quorum of the total player population
yet they changed the game for EVERYONE (read that "fooked it over big time just for a VERY FEW people voting)

secondly .. if the vote was questionable .. it should have been TOTALLY re-done .. not 'EDITTED' to suit by SDE
sde admits to removing votes and then counting as they pleased ..
this is vote tampering and just as wrong as ballot stuffing ..
BOTH actions totally invalidate a vote .. but here we are ..

the whole thing is wrong on so many levels ...

* a FEW people get to mess the times up for everyone ...
there should ba a minimum quorum number for such votes ..
ABSTAINING is a valid VOTE count .. it means LEAVE THE STATUS QUO ALONE ... but sde couldn't see that ...

* sde themselves tampered with the vote numbers to make it into something it wasn't ..
that alone invalidates the entire vote and reduces it to "CHANGED ON SDE WHIM ALONE"
i bet a few of those "removed" votes were valid with friends just voting on the same machine
HOW did sde sort out who was a one person multi-voter and who were one machine several voters ?
it all boils down to admitted vote result tampering by sde .. there was no valid vote on this issue .. just whim

* HA times are a FLEET-ONLY thing ... so why was the GENERAL POPULATION voting at all ??
sde wants to remove votes ? .. then remove all NON-FLEET votes as invlaid and irrelvelant to HA times ..

a valid vote would be to have fleets only vote on a fleet only game mode
there should be a minimum quorum of how many fleets would need to vote for it to apply
then from meeting that minimum quorum the results could be counted
if the fleets are polled as individual members or fleet leaders only is up to discussion
but a case can be made for it being fleet-leader-only voting .. since only fleet leaders can even declare on HA

i support leaders-only voting for several reasons ...
leaders can access their fleet forum to poll their own members .. and then bring one vote per fleet
and they know who is active in their fleet .. they have an idea what times their fleet plays most often
its simple to total up the number fo fleets and determine a minimum quorum number for changes
* discount from the total any fleet leaders inactive for over 12 months (or 6 months or some such)
altho the recent server merger has purged these inactive fleets ... so this step is sorta redundant
also possibly discount any fleets with under 30 members as well (they can't do HA = so why vote?)

only fleets capable of even doing HA should be the ones voting on any kind of HA time changes

below are just some totally imaginary random numbers for example illustraion only ...
say there are 100 fleets registered on NFNA ... (based on both servers combined numbers)
say 30 have had no activity on their fleet leader acct in over 12 months (defunct fleets)
say from the remaining 70 that another 20 are small with less than 30+ members (can't do HA = why vote?)
we are now left with 50 'valid' active fleets capable of legally declaring HA
from that 50 lets say a 60% quorum is needed to effect changes for ALL ...
so we now have roughly 30 fleet leader votes needed to make the poll valid
IF 30 fleet leaders vote .. then we can count up the results and see what they say
this would then be considered as a valid HA TIME CHANGE POLL result

rather than what we just had done ...

a SMALL number of players ... some of whom have NOTHING to even do with HA at all .... voted in a poll
the poll results were then MODIFIED at WHIM by sde ... and then the 'results' announced ... ohh .. WRONG

i suggest sde puts ORIGINAL HA TIMES back in place with this wed nites patch .. BEFORE any HA's saturday

then RE-DO the poll .... with ONLY fleet's voting ... (whether members or leaders only is up to dicussion)

As for the removal of the No votes, they explained they only removed votes made by accounts that were created specifically to vote on that poll. So SDE didn't manipulate the poll to suit their desired outcome (I highly doubt people that don't actually play this game give a rat's backside at what time harbors are attacked anyway), they prevented a few players from doing so.
