  • Photoshop: Saving after using grayscale mode issue.

After trying to do some batch process.
I noticed that in photoshop CS2 or CS5. Saving images wouldn't let you to overwrite without having "saving as copy" by using the grayscale mode
Which means I can't just save the files. I am forced to use saved as copy.

And knowing I can't just manually rename 2000 files, I just want to figure out what's wrong. So I can fix the problem.
Thx

richard, if i understood right;

Im pretty sure if you continue the way you are doing now, each file will be systematically named.

Then, just get program called renamer http://www.den4b.com/?x=products&product=renamer , allows you to add rules and auto renames your files systematically to your desire. Very effective.

You can also use shell scripts to rename files in batches (yes, even in Windows), if you don't mind moonlighting as a programmer. None of the alternatives would be as easy as just making Photoshop do what you want it to do, though.
