  • Yankees or Blowsox: worst lost game?

Blowsox: The were winning 3-2 on the 9th, 2 outs , the Orioles made a double, and tied the game, then they hit another one, and
they won the game. Boston lost their Wildcard .

Yankees: winning 7-0 over the rays. Tays scored 6 runs on the 8th, rays homered on the 9 and game tied. Yankees had the oportunity
on the 11 or 12 inning, but the rays got out of it, the rays homered on the 12, and they won the game.

just incredible.

Well, atlanta and phillies they had a pretty good Game, 13 innings, dissapointing yes, but not as worst as the red sox lose, imagine winning and being away by just 1 out, and then blow it up lol. Facepalm by Red Sox manager, thats just priceless and then walk away lol.

Both Boston and Atlanta had epic meltdown games/months. The Yankees-Rays game seemed rigged to me, it just didn't look normal.

Hats off to the Cardinals, they had the opportunity and pounced on it.

Actually Boston was 1 strike away from winning when Baltimore lined a 2 out 2 strike double to tie the game. Also Tampa was down to the final out with 2 strikes, and a ph hr..... amazing!

and Boston's meltdown was worse as they were up 7 games in the wildcard race in September, then lost a franchise worst 20 games in September...... lol

No, it was a playoff game in the regular season. Boston HAD to win to make the playoffs or at the least force a 1 game playoff with Tampa Bay. Boston had the wildcard all but wrapped up and ended up giving it away.

Sorry, worst lost game was Yankees, game 4 of the series in 2004. Down 3 games to 0, Boston rallies in the 9th and wins it, setting up the next 3 game wins. Nobody has ever blown it that bad... despite the effort shown by Boston this year. =P
