First off, I'd like to thank Yuno for being so kind and spamming us with events. Its nice to find at the end of a game I got a pair of reload gunners or to log in and have the choice of playing some battle rooms that typically aren't available. However, there was an unexpected consequence to this latest event - excessive greed

In GB, I noticed that when I was bombing, at the last second, the ship I had highlighted was sunk just as I was about to drop bombs on it. I was a bit surprised as this typically only happens at the end of the game when the winning team all wants to be the one to get in the last kills. Later in the game, same thing happens again, but this time  there are multiple ships around. After several games, I began noticing a pattern; whenever I highlighted a ship on the line, just as my planes got to it, it was blasted. As a test, I saw a BB and a CL side by side and the BB was taking hits. I went after the CL. Sure enough, as soon as  soon as the planes were over the target and  dropping the bombs, the CL was sunk  from under me and the BB had stopped taking hits.

Yesterday, I decided to give the blitz event a shot. Like someone else has already posted, there were people spraying HH everywhere including hitting their own ships. I have no problem with HH used against surface ships in GB, but in blitz where you have new people trying to learn the game, its really nothing more than an exploit. I saw a number of kitnas and they were spamming torps everywhere. At one point, I observed a kitna sink three of his own at point blank range. It was a disgusting show of  team play and also reenforced to me why there MUST be a nerf on trop XP. At numerous times, people called out "hey there is 20 seconds left for premium" and were laughed at, ignored, so on. I obsereved one host intentionally get 50 people into hobbit map so A team would lose people outside the map and it would be autowin for bravo.

None of these things really are against the rules. But acting like this detracts from the community. If people were acting like jerks, then we wouldn't need server mergers to keep games going and we could spend more time working on improvements to the game. If I offend you by calling out something you were doing of late, my point isn't to argue. My point is to bring to your attention that there is things worth more than winning or getting higher in the rankings. Being known as a decent person is worth far more. Also, just because this is the internet it doesn't mean that there aren't real people out there that you are acting like a jerk to. Show some sportsmanship and be a stand up person. Thank you.

****EDIT****

The point isn't about stolen kills or if I'm highlighting too soon, not using manuel, whatever. Thank you for the tips. The point to this topic is that the event is bringing out the worst in people. Other players (including some that I see posting on the forums all the time) should think about their actions.

I get called a noob because I'm the sole reason my team loses about 10 times a day, according to some self proclaimed experts. All that I'm doing is asking people to think about their actions, thats all.

Asking for this, is like asking a crackhead to not steal from his momma, it just isn't going to happen. Although I do agree, everyone is gonna have the mentality that they have to get theirs before you get yours... You just have to be faster on the draw, and beat them to the shot.........

one solution is to put your planes above the ships without selecting a target until your planes are already there, that way when you mark them, they wont have time to sink it before you. either that or try manual bombing which sucks. i mean it is very hard to master, but anyway, its a solution.

If you couldn't kill someone that means you weren't fast enough to kill them simple as that. I get kills stolen from me all the time or so people say, but it just means i wasn't fast enough to kill them due to a number of reasons.

point of attention for a bombing cv;

you can deal damage to any ship on the map, but need to load bombers for about 20 seconds.
a (high tier) bb can deal about the same damage in a single salvo every couple of seconds, so by picking
a target within bb range its your own fault if it gets hit before your bombers arive.

your target priority should be with the stuff they cant hit easily,
a good high tier bb that causes trouble / outranges your teammates
a aa ship that makes life impossible
a cv on the other team.

most of the other targets are a waste of time, which can be taken out by your teammates quicker.
so your teammates might accuse you of making easy attack instead of bombing usefull targets ;)

pick your targets wisely & focus on your fighters, that will get you most xp, not bombing cl's

i'm a cv player as well, just so you dont bring out the "cv flamer" stuff

and on the hobbit map spawn point;
your host cant tell if he's on A or on B, so there's no point in making A "auto lose".
besides that, after teams split, A has plenty of time to move into the deployment zone, since the entire B team was moved out of their zone. being alt+tabbed when your outside of the deployment zone is a mistake they are making, not the host.

I'm not mad about your point of view and I'm not debating tactics. I agree that I'd rather hit something out of their range. As far as the focus on fighters, well, there are changes coming with that too so we will all need to re-evaluate our games.

As for the hobbit map, you are dead wrong. Many of the new players that were on the map had no clue they would end up outside the border and a lot of them were in DDs and CLs. That gave them a wasted game for XP. As far as the host not knowing if he would be on A or B, it didn't matter. He and his friends, wanted the game over as quickly as possible so that there would be more games = more drops. Frankly, if I wanted a stupid mine I'd just pay the $2 and buy them. A team litterally fell apart and the host was quite vocal how happy he was.

new players all learn stuff the hard way, reseting your first crews because of bases or bve,
getting oneshotted by bb's etc etc this is just another situation that happens to them, so they learn their lesson for the next battle.

i dont really see how getting 60 people in a room contributes to fast games?
waiting room takes longer to gather & sinking 60 ships takes longer as well

and arent drops only distributed after a 5 minute game, in the same way prem is activated after 5 minutes?

Who was sniping the ships in the GB? Was it the same BB player? He's got incredible aim and timing. I'd love to have him in Jedi.

Who said the host was intelligent?
