Hello captains!
Could someone please suggest me how to train my aiming skill?

In fact, I would like to know if there is a way to train my aiming skill not being in a real Great Battle.

Something like create a room to take training shoots.

you can always go to the mission area ( for example, area 11) and create a mission to train your aiming skills with.

Good missions examples are ' Destroy CL fleet ' etc.

You mean "Test Mission"

CL fleet tear apart anything that isnt at least a BB1 or 2.

For the rest, feel free to give the accuracy section of my guide a read.

no, on a serious tone, i use auto. lol, no time to practice manual gunnery, i have to master my sling TBing XD

And yeah, if you wanna train, better go to test mission. I remember my first time trying to do manual gunnery in my dunkerque and I ended up shredded by those rabid CLs

It really depends on what ship you are using. if you are using a lower level ship, then yea, you probably should go to test mission. If you are looking for something more challenging, it will be the Destroy CL fleet mission :)

He is looking to practice his aiming, therefore I'd guess the Destroy CL fleet isn't what he is looking for right now, and I hope he is around CL/CA level max...

If not then NF fail auto-buff really succeeded at preventing people from getting better at the game in the early levels.

Honestly,

Manual aiming comes with massive amounts of repetition. Eventually you get good at guessing what angle a ship is at and can quickly adjust to any ship. It takes time, just like typing it seems impossible at first, but then becomes muscle memory.

Small excerpt from my BB guide, concerning accuracy.

Figured it can help, as I suggest a method for new players to learn their angle (Thats the one I personnaly used as a new Aiming FCS user 4 years ago)

With time you do start getting a reflex and you "guess" precise angles by memory after playing a ship for a few games, as Lilitaly described, but at first you simply do not have the experience to do it that way. But to acquire aiming speed, practice does make perfect.

Its something I came up myself with as a new player to help myself. I suppose many players have different methods, feel free to ask them about it, or adapt your own to what fit you best.

First step is adjusting your guidelines by adding/removing sailors on the BO. Ideally your lines should end exactly at your max range. In no way it should ever be longer than that.

If your BO lines aint long enough to reach the max range, then you have to memorize the average length past them the shell falls to, and memorize the exact angle than marks your guidelines extremity. It’s quite playable, but it is an extra difficulty.

For mid-angles:

A good way to memorize them at first is memorizing exactly each multiple of 5. If you KNOW 5-10-15-20-25-30-35 it’s about 6 position to really have burned in your memory. Its not that many. That way, when looking at a ship, you’ll be able to narrow the possibilities to 2-3 angle max, and out of those, find the one that seems the more likely. If someone is halfway between 20 and 25, but maybe a bit toward the 25, you’ll shoot at 23.
