Hi guys, just wanted to share these with you all. I know some NF forumers are talking about Battleship, etc. It seems to be a bit over-hollywood-ized.

They have made a liveaction movie out of the first season of the anime series Uchuu Senkan YAMATO. ("Star Blazers" in the US)

I know a number of my NF friends have seen the original, and I myself grew up on Star Blazers (as I said, the US version).
This is not exactly NF related but it was a very, very good movie. I reccommend it.

If you'd rather a film about the REAL Yamato...there is Otokotachi no Yamato, which I'll admit is not exactly "new" per se, but I think more people need to see it.

but in fact the characters never say anything anti-American. The film does not bash the US, instead focusing on the men who served on
IJNS Yamato up until the "Ten-Ichigo Sakusen" took place in 1945. The only American >>anything<< shown is the Bombers attacking the Yamato in a couple scenes.
