@ happymeal, This isn't to battle the 'new host' who may possibly be afk.... its to encourage players who host rooms to not leave without a good reason and then just return. You say that players that may be AFK while waiting shouldn't be AFK because they wont be there for battle. Well, NF already has an answer for that - removal from the battle with 0 exp.
My point is this: If you don't want to host, then don't host.
@ Phillip, this isn't really directed at rooms that are hosted and never seem to get enough players to launch. If you want to leave and try another room, you can announce it and pass on the host spot (to a, hopefully, non-afk player). Or close it and ban everybody so you don't waste anybody's time.
The ideal host should be prepared to sit around for 9-10minutes watching and waiting for the room to SnG. I don't host rooms if I think I may run to the refrigerator really quick to grab a drink, or if I may have to go to relieve myself in the bathroom or some random nonsense. Its not the AFK players who effect the chances of the room launching or delaying the start of the game etc. Its the AFK Hosts, and the hosts that leave and rejoin.
Make the original host responsible for their room. And if they choose to leave it, it should be for a good reason - not just to leave, look around, and jump back in.
