Whats the difference between Hyper Torpedoman and Special Torpedoman?

Special class earlier (lvl 60 instead of lvl 64) have a bigger bonus to growth (+4 instead of +2), and allow an additional class at lvl 80. They can all use the same launchers.

so... as far as I know and from what I've heard other people say... there is never any reason to class Hyper.

found 1 reason, albeit a pretty useless one. The 24" Type93 M3 x5 Launcher requires Hyper Torpedo to be used. Thats only useful if you plan on being a TW.

Not quite. If I recall, it needs heavy torpedo ability which both have(I have mine classed as special and it can
use all launchers. You might be confused at why it branches off like this but it was because of something
that was planned/removed from the game. So now it serves no purpose but to confuse.


No, im not confused. check torpedo launchers under components here on the website. the last one says hyper torpedo.
