FF-X with the second set of 6" singles if it's a 1vs1. Use the 5.9 singles if it is a FF War.

1 BO, 2 gunners. I prefer to run the FF-X with just the rear guns(44/51OH) when using 6"/53 but you will want a second gunner until he slows you down too much. 11/11 gunners will work just fine but they won't hit the REL cap(for 6"/53 guns) before lvl60, not sure about the ACC you will need to BVE them if you really want to rock though. your BO will be able to spot the 6"/53 shells@ lvl 45-50 depending on his POT and #vets. Your gunners will start to bring the 6' spread under control around the same time. Don't set your sights too low though, u can take on CL/CA if you play correctly and with so many incompetent players you really only have to worry about a few players presenting a challenge. The RETARD MAP of Hobbit War has only degraded skills further and isn't even big enough for a FF to range and run properly much less any other ship class, so I suggest other maps but retards own the company and also fill this game so good luck .....

If you like FF, try the ASW FF-Y with Prem. HH, US torps and Depth Charges on the rear. Use a ghost crew (no sailors=no weight) and you will go 48/59.

Use a real nation BO as a BO and 2 neutral gunners. For the neutral gunners you dont have to go crazy with them like I did.

As for the ships both the FFX and FFY are good. The FFX has abit more firepower with the first set of single 6" ds but has low displacement so if you have a heavier crew later down the road you may not be able to use it anymore. The FFY has lower firepower with the single 5.9" ds but it has alot more useable displacement for a heavier crew and is faster. As for torpedoes the smallest USN torpedo launchers work well (x2 or x3 I forget). I believe there is an MN set that also fits.

Not to be overlooked is the DD1, it has the most firepower of all neutral ships with the second set of 6" singles. The DDMP is also nice but I wouldnt buy one of the starter packs just to get one, I won mine in a TNF FF war. It uses the single 6" the DD1 uses but is abit faster and has alot of displacement for a fatty crew like mine.

With a good FF-X setup most CL won't be an issue.

I'm pretty much in the top five attack (boths sides) in Blitz every single game with mine.
Before BB could be in Blitz all the noob CA used to run tripple 6s and I would range the heck out of everyone.

and yes I agree with elkev CL/CA/ and even incompetent BB can be pwnt by a good FF with 6's but Hobbit war has made this tougher as a good FF has to play smart and know when to rush for advantage and when to range and draw off ships after him.... and hobbit war is essentially retard rush

Was going to go for strait acc/rel stats but went 10/10 acc/rel with 11/11 repair/restore.
Gives me the added bonus of 138 SD which helps loads when taking an unfortunate broadside from a Brook.

I find FFy with 5.9" D and DD engine the best FF vs FF. To get the best hits you'd need to get closer anyway. But the uber crew and setups mentioned before are more suited for fighting DD and higher.

P.S. Eye'm the strongest.

One thing I forgot to mention about FFX is it gets a much better spread compared to they Y, probobly due to the guns.

Anyway I host non hobbit blitzes only and will probably be playing them more on and off since I have neuts on my storage accounts to level.

Btw, how do you fit all that on an FFx elk? I have to use a ghosted bo to get mine on there.

For Torpedoes.
They can Fit the USNx3 which is the most balanced.
They can FIt the MN x2 which has the highest damage output and range but is the slowest and hardest to time.
Finally the SN x2 is also an option. Shortest safety distance, shortest range, but the fastest. This makes them
best suited to fend off rushers.
Keep in mind you will need at least a level 12 national sailor for the corresponding nation in order to be able to
mount and use those launchers.
A neutral launcher equal to USN is also available but they are heavier so for that option - use the USN.

PS - V2, I need to run that torp test with you. All data states that MN torps are the same speed as USN but that
has to be wrong. Actually I know it's wrong - not to mention when I fire at fast, you guys keep thinking I forgot
to switch to fast...
