I am looking at buying a new Acer laptop, under $450. I have found two that I could buy and I am having trouble deciding which would be better to go with, due to the processor and RAM specs. One has an AMD E-450 processor @1.65 GHz and 1 MB L2 Cache, but it comes standard with 4 GB of RAM. The other one has an Intel dual-core processor P6200 @ 2.13 GHz and 3 MB cache, but only comes with 3 GB of RAM.
My point is, I don't have money to buy the computer AND upgrade the RAM, so should I sacrifice clock speed for an extra gig? And how much effect does the clock speed actually have? I would use this for college applications (word processing, minor coding and casual gaming). Thank you! Here's my comparison page link: https://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/co......RJW02.059
