Anybody got one?  Do you like it and what are its strengths/weaknesses?  I'm thinking a PBB would be more useful, but haven't really seen the Borodino in action.

If anything, EBB1s are meant as trophies, not something that is pratical and tactical. you'd be better off with the Sevastopol PBB than the Borodino, but you can spend actual money or olives and buy the Sevastopol year round where as the Borodino is up for grabs for this limited time. So it really is up to you if you want to look at it that way...

That's pretty much what I was thinking a3001, but I was curious for more info on the ship itself too. Like how the New York has those really low angle guns or the Mikasa has short reload guns. From the ship info, it looks like the Borodino's guns have pretty high shell damage, but there are only two main turrets.

I'll probably get the Sevastopol since a PBB will be much more useful for leveling as well as more competitive.

I do not have a SN EBB1, but I have seen one in action and it seems that the muzzle velocity is very fast. The shells travel very fast, sort of like how Vanguard or Queen Victoria shells are easy to aim and land on target due to the low hang time.

But the SN EBB1 seemed to have even lower hang time than the QV shells, and QV shells already have low hang time.

However I could be wrong. Can anyone with a Boridino confirm this?

again, sorry that i can't be of more help, but that's putting it at face value and being blunt.
Bits of stats:
1) 3nd best reload, after IJN and UK guns
2) 40 deg guns, thus a medium hang time.
3) 2x12in guns vs 12x12in guns
4) once a year and a very rare ship vs a PBB that can oneshot BB5's.....

I have a Borodino. She has 2 dual 12" guns with 20 degree, more like QV's laser gun. The ship itself is slow. goes 37 with 4 118+ engs with 3 reps on board. She is the smallest BB in this game, but don't expect good games by using that ship, she has no range and no fire power, She is a boat for show off only.

If you're using the BB1 20 degree 12" duals you are doing it wrong, she has her set of guns, which unfortunately are 40 degree max angle. Her 1899 gun set has higher shell dmg than the BB1 guns and about the same range as a savest, maybe a tad more. Now i have not sat down and tested the range yet, it's just my experience from battle.

It has a gunset that can outrange the UK 16"L Nelson Guns. It hits very hard as well.

Having one, here is my experience with it roughly at-level.

The range is exceptionnaly good for the level, it can fire at least at BB2 rangeif not close to BB3. However, since it has only 4 barrels firing per volley, the odds of hitting a target are low, and the damage output per second of in-range battle is low too, even if individually each shell hits fairly hard.
The accuracy is fairly good with good gunners (140 vets EBVE lvl 62) but i suppose it surely wont be as good with lesser gunners, and the reload is fast, i suppose to help compensate for the small amount of shells per volley.

Its main strenght is its very small size. it is big as a large DD and has the DP of a BB and as such it is very hard to hit.
The best way to use it is to use your small size and range to go unnoticed and land shells on BB1-2-3-PBB as you're able to. You can end up with a decent amount of attack (and exp) while being useful to the team a bit.
I do not suggest going after high end BB4-5-6s though, since their accuracy will definately take you out if they decide you are a threath.

globally a PBB is much more useful, specially the sevastopol that is also relatively difficult to hit, the PBB will also hit much more often with its 12 shells.

I've found that most BB4-6 still will have significant trouble hitting her, she is just too small. Also most BB players these days are a bit nubbish and get their bb4-5 in 1-1.5k games which is not nearly enough to be good. I can't tell you how many times i've shook my head in amazement as a BB5 stops in the middle of the battle line hobbit nub style and gets lit up instantly. One on one you'd have probably win vs the average bb4-5 player if you know what you are doing. I've also noticed that a lot of big BBs are still using auto lately, which just makes me cry.
