Everybody in NF says
"KM armor is not good" - "use 0,2 on deck and belt, no more, so you can have good speed" - "KM have more range"
"KM have faster ships"

I was tired to hear that “universal truths” and run a little analysis about this myths.

Myth 1 - Range: is real that KM have more range than other nations, but at the same time KM shells have, usually, less damage.
True, but not useful in practical combat situation because target are moving.

Myth 2 - Speed: If 1-2 knots in same ship level make a difference, really don´t know

Myth 3 . ARMOR (this is the key point): The big problem that KN has is armor.
Most players will agree with me that when you fight against a Lion 1 with your H39 and hit him, Lion keep moving to you.
But, Lion hit H39 2.3 times, you go to the bottom.
This make me think, why KM armor is so ineffective?. I use RN armor as Base.

0.2 deck? How does that help?

And damage is a problem but hey, that's why they have over 6 nation to choose from.

If you don't like KM playing style and think armor is gold, go RN.

You don´t understand the point. I like, and have, KM ships.
Only just I try to do is clear WHY KM armor is (or considered) bad, according to ohter users.

By the way, 0,2 deck is armor most recomended in this KM forum. I dont sure if helps, but is it on this forum.

You are doing it wrong. If you want to armor go UK.

Btw it's 0.2 belt and as much bulge as you can fit. (Edit: without losing a knot; thanks to the attentive young man)

Btw it's not faster ships but longer overheat because of higher engineer ability.

Btw your layout hurts my eyes and makes me want to punch somebody.

In our KM forums, we never reccomend in most post 0.2deck to begin with. I don't know where you pull that from.
Most of the post recommend the 0.2 belt.

it might suprise you but there are only a few RN ships that can effectivly armor(QV, L1, POW, KGV, Nely (L2))... there are some other AWable ships but these become less good if u AW them. The tricky thing for KM is the spread but at high lvl it gets very useable and u will find your self at the very top of the food chain.

It taks some matches in H39 and H44 to get the hang but soon u will learn when u have to push and when u better run, how the bring sling shooting to perfection and land full salvos on any ship and then even a L1 is down within 2 good shots... Important is always to look at your enemys speed. (AWed L1 is 37, AWed L2 is 37 or less etc.) And keep in mind u have KM guns. switch to AP as soon as any kind of AW ship is coming.

must have 0.2 deck confused with 0.2 bulge.... honestly i carry 0.4 belt doesnt seem to work tho as ull get sunk fast by a non km sub wich reloads in less then 5 seconds.... also whats with this horrible layout wich is different from default nf forums O_o

I know ans use most of your replies fellows. All I try to do is build up some kind of explanation or Guide (if this post can fit to that name) for those peoples that maybe, just maybe, want to put some armor in thier ships.

I agree If I want a shipline with armor shuold run other nation but, be honest, doesn´t be nice to have a little more decent armor on KM ships?

some nations use armor (one with few ships usefull for armor) others do not.... deal with it

its kind of like some nations are good vs armor others are not/km

not as much bulge you can fit thats why your ship would go slow :o put o.2 belt and as much bulge till you loose a knot and remove like 1 or 2
