From a competitive standpoint creating a fleet based on one nation is not a real good idea. Each nation carries strong points and will dramatically help in FL and HAs.

IJN is my first nation ... my highest nation .. and my main grind ...
KM is my second ... (although my km SS is ahead of my ijn SS) ..

but it is not my ONLY nation .. i'm a diverse player .. i dabble in everything ..


what i am trying to say is ... im'a torp 'ho ... god bless the kita and ijn torps ...
(but the SN torps aren't too bad either .. just kinda on the short ranged side)

Honestly, history based fleet are just not a good idea.

I am also a huge IJN nerd, like yourself, but cannot write or read Japanese. I know bits and scratches in Romanji...but that's about it.

However, it's indeed true that each nation has strengths and weaknesses...a fleet based upon one nation would be disastrous, especially in a harbour assault.

Oh, also, we used to have a fleet called the Axis, but nobody played anymore, so my old pal Taiteki had to shut it down. :(
