I delayed my AA in order to blockshot. I class at 60, however, it's better to delay until lvl 50 and then class it since you cap the reload sooner.

You won't be able to blockshotat that level, however, while you level in the 60-70, they should have better spread than any regular lvl 120 km rapid fire class on time.

Thank you first richardphat,

but i have two more question, should I class them to chief rapid fire gunner in later lvl? Since CRF doesnt help with rld stat. In addition, I should stay in arm. sailor for delay classing, right? just wanna make sure this.

I was thinking about making a nice blockshooting KM AA:

1. Using 2 x Elite RLD Sailors (11 Acc / 13 Rld on base) + giving them Boost

2. Keep as 'Arm.Sailors' to 55 lvl and then class them to 'AA Gunners'. Why 55 lvl ? -> for not loosing ACC ability and for sooner RLD cap than classing them on 60 lvl (richard advises to class them on 50 lvl).

3. Because of classing to RF and CRF doesn't give any bonuses to RLD growth and only decreases ACC I would keep them as 'AA Gunners' to 70-80 lvl. Then to use '42 lvl x2 5"/61 KM 40 A' on Bismarck/O Pro 2 (and higher tier BB's) I would class them on RF Gunners (lets say classing 'AA Gunners' to RF on 80 lvl) ... without classing to CRF ... I don't see any meaning to class KM AA gunners as CRF, you gain nothing (except 'not working' AAW stat '+2') and only loose ACC growth ('-4') ...

What do you think about this ppl ? This is interesting to check.

Considering all 3 KM AA classes only add 6 recruits per level, and like you say you only lose accuracy and gain AA, so the classes after the first dont actually improve performance, but lose accuracy.

If you're happy using the lvl 30 3.6" A then theres no reason to class up at all, you would only class up to gain access to the rapid fire A guns (which oddly excludes the one with the highest rate of fire).

Obviously I want to use RF AA guns on bb3-6 ('30 lvl 3.46"/76 SK C/32 A' with 0,8s rld are cool but I prefer bit more range/dmg) ... I also want to have blockshot with a decent reload on these RF AA guns ... thats why I came with suggestion above ... the biggest problem with all AA gunners is to achieve balance between having a tight-spread and fast-reload ... :D

Honestly, in my experience I tend to find the problem with AA gunners is reaching the reload cap, accuracy seems difficult to NOT cap. Blockshot AA always tends to occur naturally at high enough levels as long as the specific ship has a T slot layout that allows for it, like most german ships do.
