  • CV Medic?

So I've just started the game after a very long break. No doubt i've missed many many patches and changes. I realized I had leveled up a KM Medic for my CV crew (currently lvl61) before. After browsing through the latest forum posts, I saw some posts saying that vet death rate on a cv has changed or something. So my question is a KM medic still needed/recommended on a IJN CV? (I've searched the forum, but seems most of the answers seem really outdated)

You will only lose recruits if a pilot dies now, vets/experts will not be killed, so having a medic is pretty much useless.

Half true.
Experts will still die but the vet's are immune to  dying via shot planes.
And you may still have some of your vets killed when the CV gets hit.

during events, with the raised crew death rate it might actually work pretty well with a medic.

sold mine when it was in the 80's if i'd still have it around i'd now use it during events,
running a seaman atm
