type3 has more range and better spread...just noticeable

type90 has more damage

most of the people prefer type 90

The range difference is almost impossible to notice.

The type 90 shells are heavier and go through most armor setups (including QV) at max angle.

The type 90 shells deal more AP damage but less HE damage making them less effective against smaller ships than type 3 but better at killing large ships like BB4-6
