Hi,
Im suffering from lack of soft defence (360SD) at pretty high level. my BO level is 79 and my 7 support sailors levels are 73 to 75,  they are also all elite (nubs mistake I know...) which means that  they had +9 base growth, and now they have about 650-730 ability at restore with ~400 experts and around 50 veterans.
My question is, is it normal to have that much SD at my level or have I done something wrong?
Also, are elite support crews  able to make it to 900SD before lvl 120?
BTW my ship is North Carolina and I have 3 Engine sailors  and 4 Repairs.

with ur current crew, i'm not surprised...
Are your sailors boosted?
u'll need to boost and vet ur sailors more if u wanna get higher sd; 50 vets ain't enough

1.) You need 3 more engineers

2.) Are you saying all your sailors are elite potential sailors? If so, they will suck at everything and you might be better off replacing them.

3.) With +9 growth rates, that SD level is normal.

4.) I'd normally say vet them, but if their Elite Potiential sailors, your better off replacing them with 6 elite engineers and 5 elite repairs. Or  6x +12 engineers and 5 +12 Repairs.

Level them up with another BO up the Sodak line, boost them and get them to 100+ vets and you'd be fine.


(P.S. Your gunners Aren't elite Potential sailors are they? Cause if they are they might not reach both caps)

he meant that it has +9 on other stat... especially on restore

your supports are fine, just add another 3 engies and  its really not normal to have 360 SD at that level, you could have already 700- near 900 SD,

 

- only way is to boost them and vet your suuports to 100 vet (if you can overvet them to 150-200 vets is very nice)

Vet packs are getting dropped like crazy for this event so its not hard to get enough to bring them to atleast 100 for free. Your crew will be fine SD wise eventually but you will want atleast 4 or maybe 5 engineers.
