Hey US NFERS,

If i would buy an elite Fighter and class it as seaman.
Does it also get 13 AAW?

some friend of mine has Chief seaman with:

19 potential
13 aaw
13 fighter
all other: 11

How i make my seaman elite fp with also 13 aaw
I buy elite FP, and then how does it become 13 aaw? Because my friend told me higher aaw on a fighter the better it resists against automatic gun of Ship..

Incorrect

Also seamen are overrated.

What do you mean with overrated?
And, what do i have to use to get the best out of my seaman?

I will BVE it, but, what elite do i use for seaman?

if your going to post answer his question....

The United States gets a +2 bonus to AAW. If you would then boost the seaman you would get +13... ([9 + 2] x 1.2)

That aside the AAW stat is what aides the automatic machine gun fire from your boat, however, this stat is not activated and useless

the elite FP seaman would be a great help to your fighters at higher levels. I believe they can give a 5% ability increase when capped. However, capping it takes A LOT of vets and experts. They can give a noticable increase in ability, but personally i would put a restore or rep on the gun slots instead, but its up to you. Its hard to tell with that small ability increase whether it helps in dogfights or not, but when you get high enough level fighters (right when your seaman starts to work) micromanaging and fighter tactics count more in dogfights.

Thank you for your answer ;)
Does a seaman work in the gunslot?

But my main question: What kind of elite do i use to get a good seaman?
Do i buy an elite fp, and class it as elite?

You should cite where your getting 5% increase from. To my knowledge, nothing is posted as to how much it boosts, nor does anyone have a hard answer. I've seen 2% and 3%, this is the first I've seen 5%.

Is quote broken?

But,

What type of elite i use for my seaman? Just an elite fp?

I thought it was 5. I remember reading 5% increase I don't know from what though. Its probably 3%. The point is, its small

As for the question.

I honestly don't know if that would make a good seaman. I know that him having a high fighter ability will help him improve the other fighter abilities, so i guess if you want him to improve your fighters an elite fighter sailor would be the logical choice. Not that this game ever follows logic.

Either potential of fighter - there are two different schools of thought regarding seaman.

And noone knows for sure. Thats why I went for the oldskewl 14pot 10everything else starting sailors when I was looking for seaman.
