What are the cons & pros of SN?

I heard they have good DB's but what about other things?

Sorry for quick reply but I'm in a rush ATM, I can write more later if nobody else does =P

Pros:

firepower (second or third best tied with IJN I think)
range (second best after KM)
fast reload
interesting ships (small targets, lots of guns, funky/unusual layouts)
Engineers (+2 to engies as nation bonus)
good quality armour (second best I think)

Cons:

slow
horrible turning force
mediocre survivability
usually poor space for armour so the fact the armour is good is not useful

I took a look at their DD's...
They have a good look rush & torp right?

The DDs are all worse than KM and USN DDs. The CLs and CAs are fantastic though. BB1 is terrible. BB2/3 are excellent. The SS line seems to be rather generic and blah; it's one of those "don't make one with this nation unless you already have the supports leveled" situations.

In general, you really notice the slow speed and bad turning force.

Check out Angus' chart for more ship-specific details:

Only on some guns. It almost feels like it is "slow reload" at later tier ships.

On the side note, SN DDs are quite good in DD vs DD, and lower tier battles due to their range and decent speed.

my opinion is a bit biased because I spent a lot of time in a Gorki with 7.1s recently so my apologies. =P

The DDs are an exception in that they can be really, really fast.

Also, their torps have a very short range but also a high speed and shorter arm distance, so the DDs and some of the CLs with lots of T slots can make good TWs if you're into that.

Another interesting thing is gun sizes. The Tashkent I think can mount 8" guns, and the CAs can mount 10" guns if you like that kind of firepower. its novel at least.

BB Pros:
BB4 Stalingrad, long range, good dmg.

BB Cons:
all other BBs - BB1, BB2s, BB3s, BB5 and BB6. Since some of them got nerfed too much and some were never fixed.

also note, BB4 Stalingrad has very long hangtime (longer than yammy, supper yammy, maybe even longer than amagi), they gonna nerf it too (they call it fixing), instead of fixing it.

So, is it really worth to buy/make a crew for SN (bb) and then spend money for bve on it? Or not

No. Go UK or USN.

SN is almost as hard to play as KM in GB, but it's as good as KM in slightly larger BB rooms (of capped tier).

For example, in a BB4 room, KM is great, SN is almost as great. In a BB5 room, a KM BB4 is useless, a SN BB4 is almost as useless.

Gorki with the 7.1"s are overpowered according to much of the community. I take blame for decreasing it's reload time. The gunset will most likely get nerfed in either reload or damage in the future. A slight range change is also a possibility.

The thing with SN DDs is their long range guns. The Tashkent's 8" and dual 6"s can out range some low ranged CLs.
