hello everyone i have a few questions for you guys i have a ijn CV4 almost 5 but i stoped playing for a year or so so many things have changed so my questions are should i FW or BW im trying to max the XP i get so i can hit my CV 5 ASAP i run ASW when no Ftrs or Bombers are around to shot down , so whats more XP FW or BW ive noticed more xp from BW 100k DMG games nets me 25-30k xp a game with no prem but i would like to see what you guys think

FW - More credits (if you get kills)
BW - More XP (about 10k more from my experience)

To be honest if he bombs well enough he will get more XP for a loss with high attack than for a win with no attack.
And of course next to no exp for a loss with little to no attack (and since he's at CV4 level his fighters will more likely get eaten by PCVs and CV5s).

It's a choice... work for your exp by yourself or keep scouting like a mofo and hope that your BBs are less retarded than the enemy.

well TBH my Ftrs are 119s so they hold there own but with the way a LOT of BB player are playing these days blind or not they have issues holding there own, some BB players are awesome but others are not so much and when they die due to them not playing it safe or rushing they blame the CVs for not scouting so thats why they died, even when i BW i still carry Ftrs and scout and Ftr hunt when i can, im just trying to reach my CV5 ASAP thats all.

I have been paying attention to the results of BW on the endscreen. There are probably three players on Nebraska that bomb well enough for this to work and even they have fighters on board. Mostly it's free food. I myself love BW PCV and will make sure to fightercamp them continuosly. Currently it is worse because lit up Santas scream "eat me please!". As TB are shared xp they are useless anyway.

It's true relying on clueless BB can be frustrating, no one scouting although I just cleared enemy fighters drives me mad personally. Or the enemy is blind and no signs to rush them, makes me want to punch them. But it can't be helped. Anyway, go for enemy planes, with lvl119 fighters it should be possible to make enough personal credits and have opportunities to bomb something.

with 119 fp you can easily hit 30-40k xp a game by FW-ing

using 110-115 fp on a kaga1 with my 118 bo atm, xp is pretty good despite the lvl difference, adding more wins with fighters than bombers i'd say fighters will get you lvl-ed faster (i dont run any bombers anymore on cv4 or lower, due to T4 load space)

I disagree with the BW = xp FW = help team win argument, it's not as clear cut as that.

Coming from a BB player, I have very often seen games won or lost on the performance of a very good BW. Also, since IJN still have the strongest dive bombers in game, I would say this is a perfectly valid play choice to get XP and contribute to a win.

If you're getting 100k a game you're probably contributing more damage than half the BBs on your team!

100k atk game easy when i BW when i FW 10-17k personal creds and about 20-60k atk like i said i carry fighters too so i hunt other planes not just bomb like i said its been a LONG time sence i played to still getting used to the game again

like i said im not useing a prem acc and im a little rusty its been a long time sence ive played

XP for CV is depended on your team attack not your own, so if you want max your XP, You have to try make your team win. Your own attack is almost totally invalid. I noticed to, that you can get best credits when you have both type of attack (on planes and on ships). For now playing as FW is easiest. There is more FW than BW and best setup for counter FW is other FW. BW right now require more skill to avoid all those FT, smoke and then successfully bomb your target. Of course, you shouldn't take setup you don't like, if you don't want leave this game because of boring.

And Yes, there is a balance issue. Watch on test server threads on this forum. They try to do all type of setup comparable to others (FW shouldn't be best option at the end, but other setup should be as good as FW. We will see what happens).

Exp from all setup is equal when win and lose. So FW/BW/RW/Mixed gives you similar exp for win and for lose.
