Hey US NFERS,


If i would buy an elite Fighter and class it as seaman.
Does it also get 13 AAW?

some friend of mine has Chief seaman with:

19 potential
13 aaw
13 fighter
all other: 11


How i make my seaman elite fp with also 13 aaw
I buy elite FP, and then how does it become 13 aaw? Because my friend told me higher aaw on a fighter the better it resists against automatic gun of Ship..

Elite potential or elite fighter.

It depends on if you believe that potential is the major attribute of a seaman or the respective ability you want to see boosted by it.

Noone knows for sure wich one is more important. It is a question of faith.

If you can get your hands on a +15 pot +12 fighter neutral, you should use this as a seaman.

If not, go for what you believe is best. I tend towards elite fighter, but I have never seen any kind of proof.

Ok then i TRY to roll potential/fighter and if i dont succeed i'll do elite.

Seaman are overrated because they only give a small boost in %. There are better things you can use slots for on your CV IMO. Oh and I've faced alot of people claiming to have amazing seaman and still did just fine so to me it seems usless.

Also seamen are overrated.


Does anyone even know what Seamen DO?

Kin, I can prepare some lvl 120 seaman on the test server when it is back up.

Lvl 120, 30% of vet and max experts.
Just tell me what nation you want me to set, we will check the easiest way with AAW, guidelines, spread on low lvl gunners.


It should give us a hint .

Repair and Restore won't work because of the fact that the true ability of the seaman itself will have an impact.

Guideline length will not be suitable for the test either, because it works on pot.

That leaves accuracy, reload, engine and fighter. Fighter is nearly impossible to test, spread maybe possible but very hard. That leaves reload and engine.

you can test with an engy

time how long overheat is without the seaman

have 2 x max vet seaman, 1 with +8/9/10 pot +12 in engy, another with +15 pot +6/7/8 in engy

which ever increases overheat time more than the other should tell you which stat is effecting the seaman.
