Corrected.

Anyway, they're still figuring out how to use it. Even if they do get the thing fully operational I will still doubt its combat effectiveness.

Whats the difference?

More or less a difference compareable to USA and Canada.

Any aircraft carrier is combat effective. Just when one is outnumbered only about 20 to 1, then it isn't as effective lol

US only operates 11 active at a time for the last 30 odd years.

If you don't have planes, defense strategems, the infastructure (Resupply networks) (Well not yet but they have the resources to get that easily) to keep it at sea or skilled pilots to fly off the thing, its not combat effective.

Not until you have atleast those, can you call it combat effective.

We may only have 11 but we still out number the Chinese 11 to 0 with combat effective and ready carriers. If the Chinese really want to start another arms race with us then, well we already have about 30 odd years advantage over them, meaning we don't have to make nearly as many new weapons as they would have to in order to bust their economy just like what happened to Russia. (Not saying that was a good thing but if the Chinese don't want to back down from making even more weapons for 3rd World Country militia coupes and drug cartels as well as terroists to snatch up in about 50 years down the road, then there isn't many people who are willing or capable of stopping them.)

That is the point their economy is rising and US is dropping plus if they called in their debt the US would tumble, true fact $15 trillion debt and $2 trillion to china thats a scary position to be in. They have the US in their pockets

Here's the problem China has.  THey have no way to project power.  China can't call in their debt any easier than we can cancel all of our orders for Chinese products.

Speaking of outnumbering, the aircraft carrying capability of an Admiral Kuznetsov class is laughable in front of a Nimitz class since they're designed for different purposes.

And it seems that China is not going to fully equip the Liaoning for what she was originally designed for (An aircraft carrier with crazy onboard firepower). Which futher makes me doubt about how effective the thing will be.

At worst it will be taking on the flaws of both the Admiral Kuznetsov and the Nimitz: Low aircraft carrying ability and the lack of ability to project fully-loaded aircraft into the sky of the former, and the lack of self-defense capability (thus the need for a massive combat group) of the latter.
