Simple. Back away from smoke.. Work out from the speed and direction (and possible OH to be anticipated) of the enemy, where they will roughly be in that smoke... Shoot... Possible hit, possibly miss. Adjust shot and repeat. Not hard really. Remember you can still see a little dot on the map.
