  • NavyFIELD 2: A New Hope? *Repost*

Hello again Comrades in 2d WWII Naval Combat. I come before you again with intresting news from our brothers in Europe and Asia. As of late, all hope in SDE and the future of NavyFIELD as a whole has been slipping away, as the release of 2 Major Games (or features in a game) draw closer.

It's quite understandable at this point, to be doubtful about the future of SDE and it's flagship franchise (no pun intended.) But after scrolling through my Facebook today, I ran accross a post by NavyFIELD 2 EU's Page. Now, it seems, SDE has done a 180 degree turn in terms of game design and mechanics.

First up, on the EU NF2 Servers, the following items have been removed from the Item Shop:

- All Premium Ships

- All 30 day items

- All Officer Supplies

- Schemes

- All Permanent Expansion Items

- Additional Premium Slot Items

- 20mm AA MG

- Unknown Supplies 

 
Along with this, a SECOND, yes SECOND Closed Beta test is being launched in Korea. And the intresting thing about it? I don't see a Nexon Logo anywhere on the CBT Site. It seems as if it ispurely SDE running it.

Some of the announced features of this "2nd Launch" you may ask?

- Brand new interface (And boy does it look nice.)

- New ship remodel system

  > Also includes a ship tree that starts with DD Ships (Old school NF1 tech tree! No more starting with a Battleship at Level 1!)

- Exchange of the Main Fleet System with the old Single Ship System of NF1 (No more taking 3 ships into a battle, no more respawns, no more of that nonsense!)

- New Fleet Interface

- Optimized Matchmaking System

  > Now, it is also planned to start a group match, so you can play together with your friends

- Optimized Ship Textures (Makes the game look better. Durp.)

- Weather Effects (Makes the game look better, AND affects gameplay!)

Not only that, but these are not even all of the features of this "2nd Launch". The list here is simply a list of the largest of the changes so far. NF2 EU's website has promised to display lots of screenshots and footage in the near future aswell, but until then, enjoy what I've managed to find so far!

I deleted the previous post prior to posting this one. It was not deleted by the Mods.
Second, NF2 is an SDE product, and the direct successor to this game, meaning it's rather relevant. 

 



I was wondering will that mean SDE will be running NF2 for the North America/Oceania region as well?

Good. This is a niche game. Not a game that will fly off store shelves for $60 with little or no replay value at all. I hate the crap that's being produced these days. From the looks of it, Nexon was just another clone of a piece of trash like EA.

I'll take my buggy but obsessively in depth game from SDE any day.

repost: i like the 3 ship fleet feature and hope they keep it in a seperate game mode. 

 

better graphics and revamped system! if SDE is remaking then there is possibility of less crash that alone is going to keep lots of players. we're gonna take the pew pew to 3d mode.

I would rather have a rabid raccoon chewing on my ass than than have this crappy, full auto,no manual aiming NF2 to play.... seriously, only little children were thought of when they started making that turd.

tryed the 1st beta did not like the gamestyle

the grafics are about the same as NF1 just from a different angle

and the auto fire is lame

and then there are the bomber raides

not worth my time and energy to start a new career on nf2

when they make it a clone of NF1 with better graphics and a more stable server they might just have something, until then ill still put it in the crap pile
