ekhm, i dont agree
1 seaman give u a real upgrade for fighters. to bombers its useless, but on fw cv 1 seaman with +12 or +13 fp is recomended. seaman add u ~~10% ability. 2 seaman is useless imo becouse he work only on 1. seaman

Seaman works on ALL slots and its stack
More you have, more you gain. 1 seaman add a little ability in respective ability, not so much compared to premium sailors, but, have 2 or 3... makes a good difference!!!

The % of gain, you can found by divide the ability of seaman per ability of the interested sailor.

You must use the same ability of both to calculate, like seaman fighter ability per fighter fighter ability.

Note: each ability will increase the correspondent ability on all sailors onboard, with some remarks:

Potentiality: B.O., seaman, sonarman, airborne and marines
Accuracy and reload: on all armament based sailors
Torpedo: torpedoman
Aaw: not in use at this moment
Repair and restore: all sailors
Engine: engineers
Aircraft: scouts
Fighter: fighters
Bomber: Bombers and torpedo bombers

my case with seaman in Crew IJN CV

my figh +12 (3272 ability at level 115)
to bost Figh elite Seaman LVL115(147 in Figh Ability)

3272 +147 = 3419 = elite figh ability + Exp and vet in Seaman

it a good posibility for improve the CV crew

One seaman is good in a CV, but they don't stack efficiently. (They stack more like engineers and less like repairers.) Just remember that a Seaman cannot make your pilots exceed the ability cap, they only make them get there earlier. But I have a 120 seaman with 300 vets on it, and when I put that on my Essex, my lvl 80 fighters don't get eaten alive anymore.

On other ships, they're useful for boosting Engineers. Because of the way Engineers stack, a 5th Engineer is as good or worse than having 4 Engineers and a Seaman. And the Seaman bumps up repair rate too, so I always run my US BB line with 4 Engies, 1 Seaman and then repairers.

Seaman is one of those positions that have negligible effect until higher levels. A must-have on CV where extra support slots exist. Can also be of value on high-end SS.

It's one of those postion players that comes in handy at the right time and setup.
