At last I got my SN SS5 but first reflektion is speed.

With exactly same setup as SS4 I got 3 knots less. 38 knots to 35 knots ?!

This feels like a downgrade not upgrade, anyone else got any input on SS5 ?

Seriously 3 engineers only 2 SN and 1 USN? With no offense, but that isn't great support and should not even be called support for sub especially we're talking about SS5.

What are you doing when the Gato has 5 total support slots and 3 remaining?
What are you doing when the D class has 5 support slots, 2 takeout from sonar and planesman? What about the 1 left?
Did you bother retraining?


You missunderstood or didnt read, I played this game on and off since first betaversion many years ago. From the very beginning sort of speak.

With 3 (5) supportslots is should be enough with 2 eng + 1 rep. Tweaking the sub and force them to run with 3 engys is wrong beacause rep i also one important factor in sub. Since you hitcapspeed easily with one engy in cachalot it´s wrong to requrie 2 in SS5.

Maybe we should force BB5 to have all supportslots filled with engys if they want to hit capspeed ?

Get the picture, we compare 8 supportslots with 3.

Is it right that a SS4 sub should outtrun and outurn an SS5 ?

Did you try ss4 vs ss5 your self ?

ps. only logical explanation is that a nerf will come on ss3-4.

His point is not "buff my ship", but his point is make the higher level ships worthwhile. You don't spend a year getting your men up to a higher level of ship just to have it be less effective than the previous ship.

This is about encouraging players to keep playing and developing the game as a whole.

The problem with nerfing the lower subs is that they have to still be fun to have people develop into higher level SS players. Its not like subs can do Blitz to grow the first 60 levels. They have to compete against the BBs and CVs from day one or bring up a sonar and planesman on a surface ship and then BO reset.

I do believe we will see some sort of adjustment from Navyfield eventually. Got to believe the lower SS5's is making room for SS6's. Maybe the key is to look at SS3 and SS4 and see about reducing them slightly. I would hate to see the SS1 or 2's getting nerfed.

You're right you dont spend a year, more like 2 weeks.

They are fun. Its just about doing it right.

Youll see it adjusted. As in rebalanced. It

If you're implying that higher tier ship should be faster/keep being fast, because they have better support, technology, or all the reason you can bring.

Sry, but the game balance will just fail just like in world of tanks such as certain medium tanks clearly OP.

You never bother question yourself if it's not the SS3/4 instead that is wrong and not SS5?

- Wait, since when SS are supposed to even get close to "OMG900SDLOLOLOLOLOLOL"? Or "OMG1KDAMAGEREPAIREDPERSECONDLOLOLOLOLOLOL"? Why bother using repairers? If you don't get good speed with repairers, then switch the configuration and use only engineers.

i don't have any issue with the speed ... with 3 good and right level engie, i can reach oh speed 40
but torps damage still very weak, and it become worst with low hit rate and slow reload .... ironic, i have bb5 in front of as a clean target in front of me but can't do anything

Nope, apparently the one not keeping up with the reading is yourself given you fail miserably to understand that SS4 and below have not been balanced....hence why your SS5 is outrun and out-turned by an SS4. =.=
